God-Handling Monsters
The ugly ogres, Fear and Doubt,
Thrust forth their roaring heads.
Put-Downs and Put-Offs strike our heels,
Uncertainty now spreads!
Procrastination lurks about
Anxiety ensnares,
But obstacles are overcome
When met head-on with prayer.
The Lord will help us rise above.
Our qualms He’ll chase away.
God’s Word imparts encouragement,
Mutes murmurs of dismay!
When faith and trust in God eludes
Regard His Word and work.
The seeker’s heart He sets aflame
Shines light where monsters lurk.
